  • Concert Featuring Kalevi Kiviniemi

    The London Soloists Philharmonia will perform a programme of works for organ and for violin with Kalevi Kiviniemi and Liana Isakadze (conductor and violin) in works by Widor, Bach, Liszt, Kiviniemi and Beethoven’s Violin Concerto.   • Sakari Oramo conducts BBC Symphony Orchestra

    In his first concert at the Barbican as Chief Conductor of the BBC Symphony Orchestra, Sakari Oramo will conduct the premiere of a new work by Tristan Murail, the Piano Concerto No 1 by Shostakovich with Olli Mustonen (piano) and Sergei Nakariakov (trumpet) and Mahler’s Symphony No 1. Venue Barbican Hall at 19.30.

  • Matti Salminen with LSO

    Daniel Harding will conduct the London Symphony Orchestra in a performances of Schubert’s Eighth “Unfinished” Symphony and Act II of Wagner’s Tristan und Isolde. Matti Salminen takes the part of King Marke, Peter Seiffert sings Tristan and Katarina Dalayman sings the part of Isolde. The concert is at the Barbican Hall starting at 19.30

  • Pekka Kuusisto conducts Britten Sinfonia

    Pekka Kuusisto directs the Britten Sinfonia in a programme that includes Britten’s Serenade for tenor horn and strings (the tenor is Mark Padmore) and also works by Bartok, Tuur, Pärt and others. The venue is the Milton Court Concert Hall. The concert starts at 19.30. Tickets can be booked through the Barbican Box Office.
